When you are touring, if you want to include some of the longer tracks then a bike that’s equally at home on tarred roads or on tracks makes sense. The Roughstuff bike is the Tourer, but with room for bigger tyres with plenty of mudguard clearance. The bottom bracket is higher for pedal clearance, and it’s a bit longer to get clearance for wearing boots without hitting the mudguard or panniers.
